Commissioned illustrations for Bluebird Bio - Change for SCD, created for a digital storytelling series exploring the experiences of people living with sickle cell disease. I developed four distinct characters to accompany stories addressing different aspects of the patient experience, including navigating care, managing pain, treatment decisions, and the transition into adult care.

The portraits were designed to feel individual and approachable while maintaining a cohesive visual system across the series. Working within an established brand palette and digital format, I created character illustrations that could support sensitive healthcare narratives without overwhelming the stories themselves.
